Emily Ratajkowski surprised us a week ago when she announced she had secretly married Sebastian Bear-McClard in New York's City Hall. The big news caught fans off guard, since she and the indie film producer were only first reported to be dating a few weeks prior to the wedding, but it turns out the couple has much more history than that.
"Emily has known Sebastian for years," a source told Us Weekly. "They were all in a friend group. He wasn’t a stranger."
The pair was first spotted out together on Valentine's Day, where they were seen getting cuddly in LA. The outing took place just weeks after it was reported that Ratajkowski and her longterm boyfriend, Jeff Magid, were no longer living together, according to Us.
The 26-year-old model tied the knot to Bear-McClard in a low-key civil ceremony last Friday. "Sooo, I have a surprise, I got married today," she unexpectedly told her fans in her Instagram story.
A handful of the couple's friends were present, including meme star The Fat Jewish and filmmaker Josh Safdie, one of the groom's frequent collaborators. Ratajkowski's crew wore suits to the occasion.
The bride also wore a two-piece set for the nuptials, opting for burnt yellow co-ords from Zara, black heeled sandals, and a black veiled wide-brim hat. Her now-husband also went for a casual, colored suit (his iteration was pale blue) and a pair of sunglasses.
And as for the ring, she flaunted a simple, thin gold band on her finger after the ceremony.
The following day, Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard made their first public outing as a married couple for a dinner date out in NYC.
